Friendly staff, lots of stuff for kids to do. Excellent organized social gatherings. Camping store has lots of supplies if needed.
This place is awesome place for family fun!! Lots of stuff for kids to do, and fun organized social gatherings! Staff super helpful and friendly.
Very nice area, close to a historic area and site seeing underground lake.
1/30/22 Nice sites. Nice staff. Mike kept up on everything and didn’t forget to tell us about anything. Got down into the 20s and the staff made sure we knew what to do in the cold. Probably over 1/2 full and was quiet. It was around 50 degrees out and the Bengals were in the process of winning the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP. WHO DEY!
Full Time Travelers
Our stay here: November 7-10, 2021.
The staff, very friendly and helpful.
The grounds, well kept.
The facilities, what you'd expect of a KOA.
The sites, cramped and close together.
We mostly ran errands during this stay, so we didn't get to use too much of the facilities.
The staff were helpful, directed us to our site and even offered to help us unhook.
The front office/store was neat. Had plenty of souvenir items to purchase.
The laundry room was clean and tidy, open 24 hours which was very appreciated.
The bathrooms were nice, kept clean, and the showers were great.
There was plenty of room for our dogs to walk/potty.
Plenty for the kids to do-- arcade room, jump pad, and playgrounds.
There was a downside that we noticed the first night. It was an unpleasant odor that circulated in the air all around the area. I assume its due to the farmland and paper plant nearby. It presented itself mores so in the mornings than evenings. Still yet, it was unpleasant.
The firepit on our site was awkwardly placed and made it impossible to have a fire while the canopy was out.
One cool feature -- there was a gazebo that had an outdoor stove and sink.
Some guests appear to be full time residents, however, people kept to themselves.
Overall, this is a good place to stay for a couple days. I don't know that I would stay any longer.
Smaller KOA about a mile or so off interstate. Small road coming in, but our spot was “too big” for our 40’ towing with two pedestals on each end. Very nice hosts, very clean, small fishing pond, and great location to some attractions.
Did a 2 day quick stay, tons of amenities, activities for the kids, very clean. Staff is very courteous. Will be back
Nothing really bad. Lots for kids to do, sites not completely level. Pizza was good. Propane fairly priced.
Good cable, easy hookups. Most sites have dual sewer connects, makes it easier.
One drawback.. I assume owner was riding two different motorcycles, and a gator, so a little noise then, but mostly quiet and nice at night. I would stay again.
Road leading in is VERY narrow, don't know how two rigs could pass each other.
Get a patio site if you can, they're very nice.
This is a very lively, well traveled RV Park and Campground. Sweetwater is a Holiday KOA meaning it’s has more amenities than their Journey parks (meant for traveling through).
The park has quite a few large sites for big rigs that are about 80-100ft long. The maximum rig size is 60ft. Some sites are paved, most are gravel. There are two sites that are very long with amazing decks.
The park offers full hook up RV Sites, Cabins, Tent sites. For amenities there is a bouncy blob (dry), small pond with fountain and memorial bench, large playground for the kids, volleyball, basketball, I’m not sure what the game is next to the blob. They have two dog parks, one for tiny pups and one for larger pups. There is a nice pavillion near the pond with a large fire pit. They have trash bins distributed throughout the park making trash disposal convenient.
This park goes all out for the holidays. We are a month out from Halloween and they have done a spectacular job with decorating. They have lots of kids events. On Saturday there is a train that takes kids and adults on a ride around the park.
Everyone who works here has been super friendly and helpful. They really seem to go above and beyond making sure everyone has a great stay.
Cellular signals for AT&T and TMobile we’re both pretty good. We were able to stream and work. There were a couple of brief moments that getting signal was a challenge, but overall it was easy to work.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great full hookups, clean and well maintained. Ask about the deck, fire pit camp sites, as they have a small table with chairs and glider swing. We will stop there again.
Convenient location just off Interstate 75. Quiet wooded area with plenty of activities for the kids. Swimming pool, fishing pond, playground, jump pad. We don't have pets, but there is a small dog park area. Lots of planned weekend activities. Bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained. My husband is disabled and we are very appreciative of the separate handicap facilities. You don't have that in a lot of campgrounds. We like the sites best towards the front of the park close to the pool. The owners are very hands-on and involved and you can tell. We have camped all over the country but this is our favorite local getaway when we have a free weekend.
Spaces too close together....Several amenities but well used. Staff friendly......probably won't stay here again
