A True Resort

We wanted to spend a couple of days in the Black Hills and also needed full hookups and laundry after about a week of boondocking - Elk Horn Ridge gave us that and more. Easy access off I-90 and super close to Spearfish, Deadwood, Lead and all this area of South Dakota has to offer. The campground is a true resort with concrete pad sites with modern full hookup connections, beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking the Frawley Ranch, and a wonderful pool, a pool-side bar, dog park, basketball and pickleball courts, coffee bar and laundry. Our rig was a dirty mess from the boondocking and Elk Horn Ridge even has local mobile companies that come to your site and clean your rig. Ours was cleaned while we hiked the Spearfish Canyon!Loved our time here and special kudos to Ellee and Jordan for their welcome at check in and drinks after dinner!

One of the Best

This is our 3rd time here in 2-1/2 years. The spots are great, the service is perfect, and the grounds are well maintained. Prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the resort. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Great Campground and Amenities

Have stayed here on multiple occasions going to and from Montana.  This campground is very well maintained with great amenities.  All sites have concrete pads with hookups.  Campground is very clean and has quick and easy access to the highway.  Has a bath house and laundry facilities on both sides of the campground, which can be a bit of a walk if you are on the outside.  Highly recommended if passing through the area.

Really Nice Campground

The park was easy to get to though our RV GPS wanted to take us up to I-90 and back around versus just taking a left across US-85 into the campground (CG). Check in was easy and informative. We paid a $44 per night off season rate with Good Sam discount but that does not include the multiple taxes charged. We then proceeded to pull through site 310 with FHUs. The staff put us out in an area pretty much by ourselves with our traveling partner. We used their cable (good variety of channels). We did not upgrade from their free WiFi (about average but the park was not very full) and got 3 bars on Verizon. Water pressure was very good in our area so we used a reducer. They do have a fenced pet area with an entrance fenced area then separate areas for small and large dogs. There are also walking trails. This large CG with separate cabin and tent areas was well maintained and clean. There was also laundry available in the shower houses. The staff is very responsive. We had a question concerning our bill and it was quickly resolved. Nice actual resort campground.

This place is swank

This is definitely a large RV destination resort. Very nice and well kept. Bath houses have private showers with their own toilets and sink. Very clean. This place also has a pool and event center (though closed due to Covid). We stayed over Memorial Day as a last minute choice. Was very nice for an RV resort.

Top-Notch camping

Close to freeway and at intersection heading to Deadwood. All the things you could ask for in a campground: beautiful pool, great store, camping cabins, great bathhouses. Restaurants and nightlife, gambling can be had after a scenic, short drive. Can be a bit pricey, but why not splurge? You’re on vacation, after all......😉
