In the woods & NASCAR
This campground allowed tent camping during the crazy time of COVID-19. I called 5 campgrounds and PW was the only one at the time penciling in possible tent camping as the state opened back up. No contact check in, you can shop online from their store and they will deliver your items. Showers are open on Saturday and Sunday for a few hours in the morning and a few in the evening. They clean the bathrooms every hour. Very nice bathrooms. Pool is open, just need to reserve pool time. ATV trail access so there are ATV’s moving about but it was not that bad. The tent area was very nice, ours was at the top so the walk was a bit steep getting back up to camp from the bathroom, but the 2 sites we had were very nice. There were 5 of us so all tents went on one site and the kitchen and hang out area were on the other. We did have an animal robber, probably with a striped tail and some friends steal one of our food bins on the very last night. They got into the one cooler and took one of the dry food bins with them so they could break it, the bin was clear about 4.5 feet and about 6” high. We found it quite a ways from our site. So make sure you secure your bins if they are not super heavy, and make sure your coolers are somewhere so the lids can’t be opened so easily. Tricky little guys. Last night so no worries hope they enjoyed the left overs and other stuff. The camp ground is just down the street from POCONO Raceway. Pretty cool hearing the race as you site in your site. We didn’t realize this week was the Double header Cup races. We are not race fans but it was pretty cool to hear them. And it was great white noise to take a nap to. No lie. So all I’m all a nice place. We camped for 5 days and had a very nice relaxing time. Totally recommend. Sites D2 & D3
