We really enjoyed our one night here during our Oregon trip. We stayed in a cabin for this campsite, which we booked on reservation.gov, thankfully the check-in was smooth and code operated. The site featured potable water, a sink water drain, and water access with a boat dock and picnic tables alongside the lake a short walking distance from sites. The camp hosts (an older gentleman and his wife) are very kind and sold me fire wood in the evening (like $7). They both care very much about the site which becomes very apparent with their patrols, the way they greet you, explain the rules, and most noticibly when you go into the vault toilets of which are the cleanest I have ever seen and the best smelling. Unfortunately, we do not live in Oregon, so I can't say that I will be back this year, but if I did, I would surely revisit before the end of season.

This is one of several great PGE-run campgrounds on the south side of Timothy Lake. We stayed here Memorial Day weekend, and it was still fairly cold, with some snow on the ground. Reservations were full, but we were lucky and found a first come first serve spot. I would pick Hoodview over this campground, since it was recently renovated, but in the end this area is so beautiful you cannot go wrong with any of the PGE campgrounds.

Recently stood at Oak Forest Campground only to question coming back there ever again park hosts are very mean to people of color purposely walks awayfrom certain people and makes up rules as he goes . sad thing is we are just trying to have a good family camping tripand this ranger felt the need to downtalk us or constantly tell us rules . Smh

The campground is ran by PGE. Camp host is super nice. Bathroom is very clean. Timothy Lake is Gorgeous! There’s even cabins to stay in!

Clean campground. Most campers are families with younger kids or couples so the campground was pretty quiet at night. Timothy Lake is such a beautiful lake. The water is clean and clear and there is easy access to it from the campground.

This is one of those super special, right on a lake, spectacular close-up views of Mt. Hood campsites. Totally worth it whether you're new to the area or have lived here a million years. If you get one of a handful of campsites right on Timothy Lake, then you, my friend, have struck camping gold. The kayaking we did on this lake was otherworldly - views of Hood, bears, accessible marshes and streams around the bend, all clean and super pristine. Swimming - same deal. You'll never forget it.
