camp and go float

Lots of campsites but books up early in the season. short trip to estacada lake. the lake is packed with kayakers and people who don't understand how the boat launch is designed for people launching their boats…not trying to figure out their floaties.

Site #24

Our trip to Clear Lake this weekend was quite lackluster. The lake was so incredibly low. The deepest the lake got was probably no more that 8 feet deep and there were do many stumps poking out of the lake that we were hesitant to take the boat out. We also got accused of dumping our trash by one of the park employees (it absolutely was not us) and he only talked to us which was annoying. The plus was our spot was large and clean. probably won't be going back to clear lake the rest of the summer. Also the drive up there is always so lovely.

Fish on the River!

Close together campsites but my husband likes the fishing.

Little Crater lake

ok, so little crater lake is appropriately named…it's small but man is it gorgeous!! you can see all the way down and see the fallen trees. the walk from the campsites is less than a city block.

Huge Campground

So many sites to camp at but books up well in advance. Sites were fairly clean where we stayed but a trek to the water. The water itself was pretty gross and tons of geese everywhere.

Glamp Life

paved roads, no trees but clean bathrooms. there was a family "camping" with a generator and flat screen TV watching a boxing match….

Privately owned campground. The water levels drastically change due to it being a privately owned lake. The employees that work there are always really sweet and helpful.

Trillium Lake

Campsites really close together. Lake was ok…so many fishing lines in a small area

No thank you. Not impressed with the campground or the water.

Timothy Lake

My favorite campground to visit. The campground is well maintained even though it does get full. Book early though because it does get reserved through the summer. I wish the reservation system was done differently so you could camp there more often.

SouthShore: Detroit Lake

We were able to get a great spot right next to the water. Super quiet campground. This is my favorite spot on Detroit Lake.

Found this little gem last minute because everything was PACKED at Detroit. Thankfully a couple were heading out while we were coming in. The campground is clean and we had a cute little cove behind our camp site.

Santiam Flats

This campground is right next to the freeway and LOUD with passing trucks at night. The plus is that you can sit right on the river and my husband could fish and sit by the fire.

Clear Lake Campground

This is one of my favorite spots to camp. The sites are clean, the new camp hosts are lovely and the lake is gorgeous!

Cove Creek campground

The campsites are tiny. We barely fit 2 tents in the site. The pics provided were really just of the driveways so it was hard to see the site. Swimming in the lake is only allowed in a small area and the campground host was lurking around the dock all day. Bathrooms are flush toilets and fairly clean.

Oak Fork: Timothy Lake, OR

Clean campground. Most campers are families with younger kids or couples so the campground was pretty quiet at night. Timothy Lake is such a beautiful lake. The water is clean and clear and there is easy access to it from the campground.
