Quiet and spacious
There are only 12 campsites and they are very big and spread out. We visited on Labor Day weekend and even with all sites full we never heard our neighbors. The only sound I heard as I drifted off to sleep was the flow of the Metolious River, which most of the sites are located next to. For those of you who like fishing, there are plenty of spots near by and within walking distance to cast your line. I would highly recommend this campground and can't wait to visit again. The only downfall is the amount of yellow jackets that were present. We had to drive out to the store at Camp Sherman, 8 miles away, to purchase a yellow jacket trap. Every time we cooked we were just surrounded by them. But this is the end of the season for them so they should be gone soon. There are also plenty of trails around for hiking or running.
