This was a pretty little lake. Great to try out my new inflatable kayak. But my goodness, so many signs! 

Day use. No Day use. Put out your fire! No fishing beyond this point. No trailer turn around. 

It really took away from the beauty.

I got a great site right on the water on a slow mid-week windy June day. It was a nice spot for a night. Sounds like that site might get a lot of foot traffic on a busier day, but it was nice for me. No issues.

This campground is PERFECT for couples to reconnect and recharge! The sites are large, privacy is pretty good and you can walk to lake in a few feet from every site. We hung out at the lake completely alone for DAYS! It does get chilly at night but this is by FAR our favorite campground!

Super busy, but lucked out and got a spot. It’s first come first serve, so timing is important, especially since it’s not too far of a drive from Hood River or Portland. Campsites are mostly on the water! Took a star off because the lake has a dam that detracts from the natural beauty of the place.

Great spot for some dispersed camping that’s right off the road. Many sites were located along the road just before you get to the official paid to use camping area. Easy lake access as well as several hikes on both sides of the valley.

The campground was well maintained- the bathrooms not so much, I recommend a privacy pop up. The campsites were perfect in there size and distance. Site 18 being my favorite. Beautiful lake, great fishing. Gets busy. Guide walks through makes sure all is good. Would definitely revisit!

We went during the week because the weekends are too insanely busy. Loved our walk-in camp spot, had a fabulous time. Our site had easy access to the lake. Vault toilets were very clean. Good hikes nearby. Lots of people enjoying the lake.

This campground is on the shores of Laurence Lake.  Almost all of the spots were right on the lake or close enough to have lake views.  It's a smaller campground and the spots are fairly open, so not as much privacy with the neighbors.  The spot I had was right off the boat launch and next to the path for the walk-in spots.  I was only there 1 night, but it would be a great place to camp if you wanted to play on the water, ie SUP or Kayak.  The road leading up to the campground was a bit rough in some areas that lower clearance vehicles would need to be careful on.  There is also no water, so you need to bring your own.  Would definitely recommend this campground.

Great hiking - the LL Wiggle trail across the dam was so good. There are very few RV sites - 3 at most. We were lucky to get one. But the view of Mt. Hood from across the dam is priceless!

Beautiful views of Mt Hood on the way to this campground. We got a walk in spot and it was forested and more private. There were some spots right on the lake. Being near water is always a plus for campground and this one was nice for kayaking. Campground host was super helpful and friendly.

We camped here about 2 years ago for Memorial Day weekend. It was the most magical experience. The weather was amazing and we had the most spectacular view from our campsite. We got there early(Wednesday night) and it seemed to fill up by Friday morning so get there as soon as you can!

This campground is very peaceful and beautiful. It sits on a resavoir with great fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Beautiful little creek to hike up and the whole place is kept very clean. One of our favorite spots close to home.

This was a fun area to kayak, paddle board, or do any other water sports on a hot day and be able to camp very close by.

I enjoyed this campground with a group of friends and we all easily were able to find the grounds and reserve a spot for us comfortably to stay.

This place does get crowded on a hot summer weekend, so make reservations ahead of time.

Has a beautiful view of Mt.Hood from the north side which I typically don't see coming from Portland.
