Lush, with very tall trees and lots of ferns. Easy lake access.
We stayed in August after making reservations in February. Highs were in the 80s, but our site stayed shady all day with just dappled sunlight. Lows in the low 50s.
Sites vary in length and width, besides the driveway, and some are even split-level due to the terrain. Separation between sites varies, too - sometimes ferns and many big trees between sites, sometimes just one tree at the back of the site.
No water or power hookups, or sewage dump, but complete restrooms (although the showers were closed due to COVID-19).
Easy beach access, and the Detroit Lake water was warm.
Very quiet at night, besides some noisy campers, because Highway 22 is on the other side of the lake.
Boat launch has a restroom and huge parking lot.
