Easy access to fish the notorious Metolius River
This is a great spot with lots of sites on the river. Even if you don't fish you can tub or just splash around in the river during your stay.
It's a National Park site so is the standard rough car camping fare.... Firepits, picnic tables, river access, pit toilets (two stations of two toilets for the whole campground, a lil trek for most sites)
Warning for fishermen/women: The river is fly fishing only and notorious for being the smartest and hardest to catch fish. Don't be surprised if you spend a few hours with not so much as a nibble. But the scenery more than makes up for it.
All the sites by the river are great. Lots of trees for shade in the heat of summer. The bridge separates the campground in half. I would try to stay away from the sites right next to the bridge as that is where all the day visiting fishers park and access the river from the bridge. And where tubers take out. It gets a little more traffic than the rest of the sites.
I've uploaded some photos of specific sites to give you an idea of the layout.
