Perry Backwoods Campgrounds is a privately owned, family-operated campground on 9 acres in New Lexington, Ohio, adjacent to Perry State Forest. The park is oriented toward ATV/APV riders, with wooded paths connecting directly to the Perry State Forest riding trail network — no trailering required. It also accommodates families seeking a base for general outdoor recreation in Perry County.

The campground has 42 sites offering a mix of full-hookup RV sites (electric, water, and sewer), water-and-electric sites, and primitive tent sites. On-site facilities include bathrooms, a shower house, a dump station, and an ATV/bike wash area. A playground is available for children.

Direct trail access to Perry State Forest is the campground's signature feature; APV/ATV riding is through the state forest and is free of charge (state vehicle sticker, helmet, and eye protection required per state rules). Jeep and horse trails are located a few miles from the campground.
