Great park. Staff friendly and helpful bathrooms close to every site. Would be more convenient if all sites had full hookups
We had a great time. Lots of activities and trails.
The online reservation system is clumsy to use at best. And you have to make a reservation. And reserving adds another $6.50. The campground is nice, clean restrooms and showers. Plenty of shade The whole process of trying to check in just made me wish I was at work instead.
No one seemed to care about the 10 pm quiet time. Lots of kids on bikes riding down the middle of the road. Probably won't be back.
PROSÂ
Able to reserve 144 days prior to arrivingÂ
Very nice campground but the design leaves a lot to be desiredÂ
Friendly camp hosts who were busy picking up trash in common areas and cleaning sites Moveable picnic tableÂ
Metal fire ring with cooking grateÂ
Site D45 level asphalt parking pad surrounded by grassÂ
Great view of lake from D loop; some had water access at rear of siteÂ
Quiet except for campground party animals who kept it going into the wee hours of the morningÂ
Coin-operated laundromats in non FHU loops $1.50 wash and $1 dryÂ
Free WIFI available and able to connect at campsiteÂ
Dump Stations at Park exit have complimentary hosesÂ

CONSÂ
No senior discount
$6.50 reservation fee for self made on-line reservationÂ
Basically the FHU loops are out in a field…no privacy from neighbors and no shade what so everÂ
Grass around sites desperately needed mowed, if you could get thru the large mud puddlesÂ
FHU loop D has narrow roads and require driving on grass to back in trailer and some campers in other sites had to move their vehiclesÂ
Short length of campsite required creative parking of tow vehicleÂ
Damn Canadian Geese poop every...what a mess!Â
Site number on electric utility boxÂ
FHU sewer connection at the back of the campsite so bring the looooong stinky slinky FHU loop D had tiny toilet building, but no showers; showers were in non-FHU loopsÂ
No entry gate personnel on a Friday afternoon to accomplish check-in. Went to park office next morning and was informed no check in required prior to Memorial Day. Never saw a Park ranger driving thru campground
Spent 3 nights in the wide open A Loop. Checked in on a Sunday and left on Wednesday. Pretty much had the loop to ourselves. Didn’t bother to hookup the electric because the solar was keeping up with our needs. Ran to Jackson Center to checkout the Airstream Factory. Great Verizon signal allowed us to stream.
My wife and I spent Mother’s Day weekend at this campground. With heavy rain on Friday, the campground and flowing river through the campground. For the rest of the weekend our campsite had standing water around the fire pit and was similar to other site around the campground.
Big lots , very family friendly , Well-stocked store lots of family activities the water isn’t swimmable at the moment but it’s still really nice nice bath houses nice toilets
State parts are usually good parks, but Indian Lake was our favorite of the summer. A large lake, and large campground. Lots of trailer and tent camping, complete with a beach, boat dock and commissary. The campground had an ice cream stand and showed a movie on Saturday evening for kids in their amphitheater. We will definitely return!
Best place ever. Â Love the location and everything there is to do. Â We always get a place near the boat dock and take our boat and waverunner.
We had a really great time. The place has a pool and updated bathrooms. Nice trails and clean. The sites are kinda small in some areas though. The one section is like a parking lot. Your site is all asphalt your fire ring is even on the asphalt.
cool
Traveling with a dog is not always easy, but I throughly enjoyed my stay. Will be back again, happy it wasn’t full of people. Wifi strong, Verizon service great, premium electric (I have 30amp and there was a hookup), no water as it’s winter meaning no bathrooms (there is a porterhouse). Clean sites and friendly folks.
Very nice campground with larger campsites. Campers varied from tents to large RV’s. Most sites are shaded with large trees and at the end of the cul de sac’s were canals that let you access the lake from the campground. Even had docks for boat campers. A very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere here. Park and restrooms were clean and the showerhouse in “B” section seemed to have been just remodeled. Some fast food and restaurants were close by with unique places like the “Tiltin Hilton” which offered a selection of sandwiches and beer. Nice large playground for the kids as well. Always seemed to have a breeze through the campsites.
The campground and beach were very nice. The facilities are clean and updated. They have a pool on site as well but do to covid it was closed now. There are many playground areas throughout the campground for kids to play at. Some sites are directly on the lake you can pull your jet skis or boats and dock them at your site. There is a boat ramp near the camping beach with a nice large parking lot. The only real negative for me was it was very busy and congested. The campground is such a popular place especially at holidays that it was extremely busy and congested. Some sites were just feet apart from each other.
Great access to the lake, really clean great fishing. Will stay again for sure
Nice park on large lake . Some great spots to be had right along inner channels. Great fishing right from campsite
We stopped at this park on our way up from SC. We spent 3 days 2 nights at the park. It was very nice but due to COVID-19 the pool area and other public areas were closed. The park was empty during the week which was nice. The beach was very good and the boys loved it. We also did some kayaking with our own m kayaks. Great place to go would definitely go back. The only down side for us was no water hook up at the site. They have plenty of water filling sites to fill tanks or water jugs tho. We would definitely stay here again.
This parks has a lot to offer if you like water sports. There is a camper beach area, swimming pool and boat launch within the campground. The down since a lot of site are in full sun and no privacy. We do like the B section and try to stay there when we can. There are no hiking trails or at least none that I have found and the paved trail you have to drive to as well as the disc golf course. I like when everything is close by. The camp store is nice except the firewood was terrible. It was fresh cut and never did burn but other than that nice store. We also visited a local wine room ( Fion ) when staying at the park which was fun although nothing to do with the park directly.
We visited here during their "Christmas in July" weekend and it was very fun. The kids and I got to hang Christmas lights and blow-ups. The campground had events like Christmas movies, a boat Christmas Parade, and even the big guy Santa. The campground is really big and spread out. The one negative comment is that with the age of our children we were far away from the beach, playground, and pool. When we go back we'll look to choose our campground based on location rather than campsite size.
We went during the week and it was so nice! No one was at the beach except a couple families, great view of the lake, we camped on B105 which was a great site. Would definitely recommend!! They even have boat slips next to all the campsites in the canal.
So far, so good haven’t been here long
Campground had a nice well maintained pool with lifeguards. Campground had clean bathrooms and showers, and everything was well maintained. Would have liked more hiking trails. Only hiking trail is rather boring. The camper hosts nag about a lot of minor things that we’ve never experienced out of the several Ohio state parks we’ve camped out. So I would say average place.
Very nice campground with a pool, hiking trails, big camp store with lots of accessories.Lots of camp hosts who are very knowledgeable about the area.Good campsites with lots of room.
This campground has an awesome pool! It has large campsites, perfect for family camping. The people are friendly and the starry nights are great!
This was our last camping trip of the year and it was cold. The campground was nearly empty so that was nice but the surrounding area was very crowded. There was nearly no area on the lake that didn’t have houses. The campground was clean and well maintained. There are sites that have access to get out on the water via a small canal. Some sites had good shade, and others had no shade. Overall it was a nice place, but the lake seemed very busy, even in cold weather.
This Ohio State Park is in a small quaint town. Good sites, nice beach + a real swimming pool. Many places for fishing from shore OR launching your boat ! There is even lots of wildlife especially of the pink vriety !
a lot offered here for every type of camper
We have been camping at Indian lake since I was a chIld, now we our kids there. Roomy sites, plenty of shade. Not a lot of privacy. There is a sand beach for swimming (even a separate doggy beach!) or a new in-ground pool. Primitive to full hook-up sites available as well as “boat-camping” sites.
