Eden Oaks Vineyard and Campground is located near rolling hills and open fields in North Carolina. The area experiences temperatures ranging from the 30s in winter to the 80s in summer. Nearby attractions include vineyards and wineries, offering opportunities for wine tasting and tours.

Eden Oaks Vineyard and Campground is a working vineyard located in the heart of the Swan Creek AVA (American Viticultural Area). We grow a variety of grapes--riesling, muscadine, concord, catawba, niagara, scuppernong, and others.  Also, we have elderberries (Sambucus).  An assortment of vineyards and wineries are located within a few miles.  US Hwy 421 is two miles away and Interstate Hwy 77 is nine miles away.  Eden Oaks is very convenient, easily accessible, and rural.  But, there are many points of interest within a few minutes--Stone Mountain State Park, Pilot Mountain, W. Kerr Scott Dam, Yadkin River and Carter Falls.  We're close to  the towns of Elkin, Wilkesboro, and North Wilkesboro.  

Each of our campsites have picnic tables, garbage containers and firepits plus a free bundle of firewood.  Our individual sites accommodate  up to 4 people and the group sites up to 12 people.  There are two RV sites with 50 amp electrical and water hookups.  And, we have 4 tent sites.  A Port-A-John and water are available.  Our free WIFI is accessible on the patio and at the group firepit.  

Our son Todd and his fiancee April have Fireside Espresso and offer delicious coffee creations such as espresso, cappuccinco, lattes, and other wonderful drinks.

We also breed and raise Jack A Bee (Beagle and Jack Russell)  puppies.

The Eden Oaks property was a tobacco farm several decades ago.  It's steeped in history.  The tobacco barn, corn crib, smokehouse and stable barns were built in the early 1900's.  The house was built in 1910 and remodeled in 1995.  The springhouse is located on the small spring where past occupants got their drinking water.  Also, another creek runs through the property.    

We are a "work in progress."  Our future plans include additional campsites and a dump station for our campers.  Also, we're working on a wine and antique store.

The Best Camping Near Elkin, North Carolina

Eden Oaks is a wonderful respite from the busy campgrounds where everyone is stacked on each other. Roy &amp; Sandra run a small campground with amenities that make you feel at home. Each site has electric and water. Although there isn't a dump site, there are several near by. But they do have outhouses on site, so if you are experienced at managing your tanks, you should have no problem here.  The more important amenities are clean sites, fire pits and firewood, that is actually dry and burns beautifully, spacious shady sites that can fit any size rig, and true southern hospitality!  Some nights they even have a small campfire in the central area for everyone to meet and have some wonderful conversation.  And as a sweet surprise, they have the cutest Jack-a-bee pups and goats that love attention.  If you are a wine enthusiast, they are centrally located to over 40 wineries...and not all just sweet Muscadine wine. Award winning Italian and French wines!!! Also, there are some great walk paths on their property and they aren't too far from NC Stone Mountain State Park. We will keep coming back for more NC slice of Heaven.

I stayed in late November 2024.  There are not many camping sites.  They appeared to have electrical and water hook ups on every site.   There is no sanitation except for one portable toilet.  This is a quaint campground.  The couple that owns the property are very nice.  The surrounding area of the campground seemed very plain and did not have many activities.
