Not sure where those picture of a lake are from in the photos. Kyle canyon is a very busy area with day hikers. Kyle Canyon Picnic site is NOW an over night camp site area. There is a review before saying it isn’t, but they just change the area to camping. So, pack your gear and get up here. The area is nice, bathrooms are sink and flush toilets. Drinking water available for your desire. Some sites are on a slope making it a difficult to find a flat piece of dirt. Lots of trailheads. We did Harris trail, which is a leg smasher. Hold on to your lug nuts because you will get broke off climbing around that area. Good views and the elevation didn’t affect us that bad. Noisy traffic.. lots of motorcycles from the city driving the mountain roads. Bout definitely a place to escape the desert inferno.
