(Stayed August 15) We used this site as a stop over, as it was also very close to Agate Fossil Beds. It was very remote and they work on the honor system regarding payments for either cash or venmo/cash app. Note, the sign says to call them if you're paying with venmo, cash app, etc, however there was literally no service or data to contact anyone (Verizon). The toilet was clean, and it took a moment to figure out the water pump (you have to pull up much harder than first anticipated) and there is water and picnic tables at the sites. We heard a pack of coyotes howling away at night, which was super cool and also eye widening because you feel like you're alone in the middle of nowhere, and because it's so flat, you dont know if they're a few blocks away or a few miles. A cool experience in the remote parts of America.
