River and wide spots
Love this spot. Road noise but I love the location to the river. We will be back.

This is a great campground. But the mosquitoes will eat you alive. But nice quite place
Great camping medium sized rig friendly
Right next to Gallatin River next to highway. Great spot for flyfishing and dog walking on leash.
But expensive for the lack of services, the cheapest site is $20. Nice large sites, two fault toilets, no Verizon cell service. Right on the water, if you like boating there is a small boat ramp. It looks like there is a water pump but it was locked when I stayed, maybe COVID or winter. Trash services are available. Bear area so make sure to store your food properly, they do have a few bear storage units. Right off the highway which is convenient but can be quiet loud.
Nice little campground with only 14 sites. Unfortunately, it’s right on the busy road and has no trees or privacy.
Moose Creek Flat campground is a small campground sandwiched between the Gallatin River and U.S. highway 191. If you are planning on visiting this campground be prepared as you approach as there is little notice that you are approaching the campground while driving down the highway. Moose Creek Flat is a wide open campground, basically a flat open area with campsites along the river and highway. Campsites have no tree cover. The campground has 13 campsites and site 14 is a large day use only site. Moose Creek Flat is a popular starting point for rafting companies and those wanting to kayak the river. All the sites are along the river with the exception of three pull through sites which are along the highway. Sites 6-8 are near a nice beach. All sites have picnic tables and fire rings. ADA sites are available. Two vault toilets serve the campground and water is available at a hand pump next to the first vault toilet. If you want a quiet nights sleep then you are out of luck, Highway 191 is busy all night so bring earplugs if you are planning on staying the night. If you like to fish then be sure to bring your license and pole as the Gallatin River is very popular fly fishing destination. All sites can be reserved for$20 per night.
The road is in nice condition, you'll need to travel up hill for about a mile. There's pull offs for campsites up to the top of the road. It's very quiet. There are cow patties in places you'll need to look out for. The fireplaces may be slightly destroyed from cows, but you're in the mountains, and you need to expect to do a little work! We found coral mushrooms about 50 feet from our campsite. I liked this place for it's secretsy and quietness. It's not far from the Galatin River for fishing purposes.
Directions: If you are North bound heading there on US highway 191, you'll see an rv park on your left, and then a blue phone sign on your right, and then the road immediately on the right after that RV park/sign is the road you'll need to take (there's no MOOSE CREEK FLAT CAMPGROUND sign to direct you).
If you plan on crashing here one night on your way r West Yellowstone than it's great but otherwise lame. No shelter from the sun and it's right off the highway so lots of traffic noise all day and night.
Great place to camp! Very rustic, just a money slot box to pay for your site. Awesome fly fishing and raft trips right there. Not a lot of sites and right off the road. Great for a night or two if driving through.
