Easy In and Out

We tried calling the listed phone number for more information. This was to a home # of a ranger recently deceased. Her daughter was so kind! But this number should be updated. It’s been a struggle she told us. No host on duty when we arrived at 3:00pm on a Saturday. But simply picked our site. Most of us had no hookups but there are a few. Playground for kids. Deer roamed around our sites and nearly knocked on our doors. We enjoyed our short stay. Headed to an equine trail ride outside of town. Would recommend this to those passing through.

Great campground for the price

It's only $10 to camp here with a tent. $25 for an electric site with an RV.

The bad: this is a city park in town. That means you'll have a little bit of light pollution if you want to see the stars (it's not too bad though) and you're next to the road.

The good: once evening approaches, it's pretty quiet through the night in the morning. This place feels like an intermediate between an RV park and a Forest service campground. The sites are spacious, though they are next to each other. But the day I was here, there weren't very many campers so it felt more spread out. You may also get some courageous deer walking through your campsite.

The facilities are pretty good for a city park. Bathrooms have running water and even a shower. They are spigots to fill up with drinking water. And there's a small playground which my kids think is underwhelming.

Be aware that the fire rings at some of the sites good stand some TLC, as could some of the picnic tables which are wooden and starting to splinter.

That said, at $10, it's hard to beat the price, especially since down the road there is a more primitive campground that cost $5 more.

All but the restrooms....🥱

We checked out Hooper, but decided no. The restrooms, one each for guys & gals was not clean, the shower curtain was torn down and lying on the concrete floor. $25/my for water& electric, $15 for dry camp non electric. The sites were not level. They looked as if they would be puddles if it rained.

Simple yet perfect

The campground was closed for the season as we stayed in late September.  That meant free!  No bathrooms or water but it wasn't needed.  Locals loop through the park regularly but it was not bothersome.  Great little burger spot across the street with nice staff.  Fishing is great in these parts!

Nice city campground walking distance to town

Hooper Park is a nice city park on the east side of town which contains a camping area. The campground has RV sites with electric and water hookup and sites with out hookups for tent camping. Campsites sit in a nice flat grassy area under large ponderosa pines. Restroom facilities area available as well as trash bins. Camp sites prices are based on the type of camping you are doing, RV vs Tent and if you are using an electric site or not. The park has a large pavilion that comes in handy if it starts raining and you want to eat your meal while staying dry. The park/campground is on the east side of town and a short walk just about everything Lincoln has to offer. This is a good spot to stay if you are traveling and need an easy to find campsite with out having to travel miles down a forest se

Beautiful camping in the pines

This is a beautiful area in the town of Lincoln, Mt. The deer walk through the campsites and the area is surrounded by pine trees. It was a little tricky backing my travel trailer into the site but the site was level and not the worst I've ever backed into. It was nice and quiet. I would camp here again.
