If you’re into fishing or boating, there’s a concrete boat ramp nearby, although the lake's water levels have been low lately. The Best Camping Near Harrison, Montana

This review is for nearby Tobacco Hills campground and Potosi Hot Springs (this was the nearest campground I could find). There are two small host springs undeveloped other than a fence about .5 miles from the campground. A great overnight trip from Bozeman (or a day trip). It's a spectacular drive and a lovely soak. Check it out (if you love undeveloped hot springs like I do).

Wonderful, quiet, serene camping at the lake. If you enjoy primitive campsites this is the one for you! Though they have fire rings there's no water hook up and it's not kept up that well. There was thrash and beer cans scattered around the area, fortunately we found a site that was decent!

Isolation and serenity at the lake

Harrison Lake FAS campground is a large spacious campground with most campsite being well spread out from each other.  The fishing access site has several vault toilets, which is nice for how large of an area the campground occupies.  Each campsite has a picnic table and a metal fire ring.  Plenty of flat ground at each site for your tent. No water or trash service is available.   The site has a concrete boat ramp as well as several other locations one could put a boat in the water.  The lake is really hurting for water this year, I would say that about only 25% of the lake volume was left on my visit, so this lake and all of Montana could really do with some rain.   The big down point for this campground is that everything is in the open, the site has no trees so you are at the mercy of the sun and wind.

Very spread out and very private. Definitely not fancy, very bare bones which is what we like. Toilets are available and the lake is nice. Beautiful range country, one of my favorite out of the way spots.

Harrison Lake Campground is a great spot if you're looking for a quiet getaway. The campsites are spacious and well-spread out, offering plenty of privacy. It's a rustic camping experience, but the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings make it worth it.
