This was the best FS campground I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many. It’s a loop with 13 sites. It has recently been redone with new tables, bear boxes, toilet, and pavement. The camp hosts were the greatest and were working to keep the campground in top condition. It is right off the road but there is very little traffic. A main railroad line runs across the other side of the valley but the trains create just a low rumble with no whistles. It’s close access to Glacier NP. We chose a site without trees for the open sky. The dark night skies here were excellent for star gazing. We came in the afternoon of a weekday and there were multiple unreserved spots available.
