Hidden Gem

Just a short drive outside of Thompson Fall, is this hidden gem. Tucked in the pines, you will find generously spaced sites, beautifully maintained grounds and wonderful hosts. The entrance is off Blue Slide Rd. You have a quick access to the Clark Fork River for fishing and kayaking. Just a short stroll down the path is a beach on the lake. A 2 min. Drive puts you at River Bend Golf Course. It is one of the best public courses we have played in our travels. Views for days. Well maintained. Even if you don't play, sitting on the deck enjoying a beverage and a snack is worth checking out. In Thompson Falls a new brewery opened this year. They are working hard to make it a success. There were fires close to town when we were there, but watching the smoke jumpers, firefighters, national guard and helicopters work day in and day out, was amazing. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area. PS...like most CG in MT, there will be a train coming by, but we didn't mind at all. It wasn't too loud.
