Another amazing COE campground

Another wonderful Corps of Engineers campground on Pomme De Terre Lake. There are basic campsites and campsites with full hookups. The campsites are spacious and overlook the lake. This is such a beautiful, well maintained campground. Every campsite is level and has a picnic table and fire ring. During the off season ( Oct 1 - Nov.30 & March 14th - Apr 14 ) all campsites ( electric and primitive ) are only $10. ( limited amenities) From Jan 5th - March 14th campsites are free at Damsite Park. However, there is no electric or water available at that time.
Please check the Pomme De Terre USACE website for changes and regular season rates. 50% off all rates with America the beautiful/senior access pass at all Corps of Engineers campgrounds.
I highly recommend this campground. 4g LTE and great cell signal.

Wow! Full hookup site with grass and a view!

Had the fortune to pick the only site available with full hookups. Originally built for park volunteers, we enjoyed 50/30 amp service, water and sewer with amazing views of the lake. The rest of the sites have water and electric. Lots of sites with lakeside access, play area for the kids and clean bath house.

With America the Beautiful Senior Pass, weekend cost $22!

Must see!

Great campground for fishing and views

My family and I stayed on the very tip of the campground (site 59). The views were great and we even had a private staircase right down to the water. The site was big & level but it was all gravel. There is not a designated swim area so bring your fishing pole and catch crappie from the shore. Also make sure you have an extra long sewer hose for the dump station.

Good fishing and great views

Very peaceful campground. It has a peninsula with some nice, shady sites but also another very wooded area on a bluff. The backside of the peninsula has zero shade (sites 26-40). All sites have good picnic tables and fire rings. Sites near the dump station can be very aromatic. No swim beach but you can access the water straight from the rocky shore. A lot of people tie their boats to shore below their campsite. There is a gas station/trading post right outside the entrance. And a tasty little restaurant with all kinds of sandwiches and ice cream treats. Beautiful sunrises and the sun sets over the dam. I really like this campground. Family friendly and everyone seems to have a dog:) but people do a good job of picking up after them.

Overall good!

Nice park! Spaces are tight but laid out nicely. Not great for walking dogs, very little grass for each campsite. Would stay again!

Beautiful views!

We camped on the bluff loop and had amazing veiws of the lake! Large sites too. There is also a loop called the point which looked like it also had great views but campsites were closer together. Not terrible, but less seclusion. Water & Electric only but dump station on site. Was just over a 2 hour drive for us from the eastern Jaco/KC metro area. Cant wait to come back!

Great for the 4th of July!

Pomme de Terre lake is one of the less congested lakes in the area. And this park has a perfect view of the dam and main channel of the lake. Every year on the 4th of July there is a fireworks show on the dam and this park is one of the best seats in the house. there is a small playground for the kids and lots of lake access with a boat ramp. Well maintained park and very clean. Lots of options for campers including shade, utilities and pull thru sites. Lots of day time activity outside the park in the area as well.
