We've camped all over the midwest and this may be the best campground we've ever stayed in. Very clean bathrooms, nice beach for swimming, very friendly staff in the office, a small camp store, and huge campsites that are spread out. THe campsites on the lake are fantastic; we had a great site and loved listening to the loons and owls each night, with spectacular starry skies overhead. Fall lake allows motorized boats so there was some noise each morning as the early fishermen went out, but nights were quiet. There is a BWCA campsite directly across from the lakeside Fall Lake campsites, and one family was paddling back and forth all day - a neat way to introduce the BWCA to kids without going far.
