The Best Camping Near Iron Mountain, Michigan

I did a lot of research for campgrounds near Iron Mountain Michigan and we were very happy with this campground. The sites were level, had shade trees, nice paved roads, clean, quiet and right on the river! We had full hook up with cable! That was a nice surprise! We were greeted as soon as we drove in, our site was very nice with a concrete pad.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Pretty campground, extremely friendly and helpful staff, nice neighbors all around. The shower area could use some updating, but was fairly clean.
It is a dog friendly place and for the most part they were well behaved pets. We planned on staying four nights and are staying six instead. Taking advantage of the last nice days of the season. I would highly recommend trying this park.

We camped here as something to do for my step-dads birthday. We had site’s 100 &amp; 97 from Thursday through Sunday. The river was very nice. The sites were a little uneven but not too bad. They are VERY close together. Thankfully it wasn’t busy when we were there. Not a whole lot for kids to do. The ‘wading pool’ looked a little gross at the bottom. The campground was quiet for the most part with the exception of one seasonal site along the river doing amplified karaoke one night. They shut it down at quiet time hours. The beach is…. Well I wouldn’t call it a beach but it’s a place for little kids to go in as long as they are closely watched- the river is quiet deep.
