A true escape
Gull Point is a nine mile hike from the ferry dock on Grand Island and six miles from the closest potable water. The closest creek where you can get water to filter is about 1.5 miles away from the site. The terrain is mostly flat, with some steady inclines.
The campsite itself is incredibly secluded, far away from other sites. It comes equipped with a primitive toilet, fire ring, bear pole, and some benches. By far the best feature of the site is the VIEW. There's a lovely little area on the cliff edge where you can cook a meal and look at the water.
AT&T cell service is zilch, but Verizon has adequate coverage in case of an emergency.
