The Best Camping Near St. Ignace, Michigan

Pull-thru campsites (very few of them) were long and narrow. Neighbors were quite close. WiFi was practically non-existent. Too many trees to get any satellite TV service. Sewer hook-ups were poor. They were all too high to get good drainage. Ours kept getting air-locked. No pool, no playground, very small beach
not family friendly. Firewood that was sold in the office was too wet to burn. The only good things were that it is very close to St. Ignace, MI and the campground was located on Lake Huron. 

Disappointing

I would keep on driving before staying here again. It was very crowded, felt like we were on top of our neighbors and very noisy and dirty. We have a 25 foot trailer and it was doable, but the campground is very poorly designed and laid out. We had to wait probably a solid 10 minutes for a very big motor home with a car being towed to be able to get past the check in and able to make a right turn. It was incredibly tight! Our campsite had litter and was very uneven. Fortunately we were only there for a night. Only good things were incredibly friendly woman working at the check in desk and proximity to the bridge and being a short walk to the lake.

Crowded, narrow, cramped, not clean

Stayed at the rustic sites with water. Very large sites with nice little areas behind your site too. Right on Lake Huron.

Dirt sites that need some attention but level for the most part. Full hook up at site 11 was far enough from the lake that no one else was around for most of the day.  Shower house was just a few steps away as was laundry.

Very cozy

We are here at Castle Rock for our first official outing with our travel trailer. This campsite has exceeded my expectations. As a newbie they have been wonderful about answering questions. Navigating the sites with a larger rig has been easier than anticipated. The amenities are well kept and helpful. We actually extended our stay we felt so welcome. Definitely recommend for anyone heading over the bridge looking for a quiet campground with beautiful views.
