Hard Pass.

Although the campground itself has amazing potential and some fantastic folks, the management has no interest in actually making it better. The electrical system has claimed countless rv components and 2 total losses. Instead of fixing it, they simply run generators for years.

If you go take every precaution from the electrical. Its dangerous.

As for a golf resort. Lol. The 9 hole course is more weeds than course. The greens have not been cared for in 10+ years. The only folks I ever saw use the course were taking drunken hacks more like weed eating than golfing.

Just not a nice place currently. Maybe some day.

Worst I’ve Ever Seen

I’ve been RV camping for 5 years and this is the worst campground I’ve ever seen. We reserved it months ago and should have suspected something when they demanded payment in full up front. After a 1-hour drive, the first impression was terrible. We saw poor landscaping, the “kiddie” pool empty and in disrepair, and a golf course that looked like a cow pasture with a couple small circles mowed in it as greens. Despite our uncertainties, we checked in and we’re given site Tulip 8. We tried to follow the map that bore no resemblance to reality and could not find our site. Along the way we experienced terrible roads and saw that the park was full of 20-year old seasonal trailers covered in mold and a hodge-pudge of add-on structures. We called the office and they sent a guy to guide us to the site. He could not find it either so he led us to Tulip 3. It had a broken picnic table and a fire pit near a wood cutout of Susquatch in a nearby seasonal site. There were barking dogs penned up in front of the camper across the road. We told the guy we were leaving. We went to the office and were told there were no refunds for early departures. When we asked for a way to contact a supervisor to ask for a refund, we were given an email address that ended up being fake. Nobody who cares about their family should even consider this campground.

Princess of the Pines

The campground was large enough to tire out the dogs walking around, staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming!

We spent the weekend of the 4th and although there were no fireworks it ended up being a better weekend for one of our dogs who fears them.

The sites are level and a decent size with a picnic table, fire pit, shaded by the tall pines.

There was a rain event the second to last evening we were there but the staff was quick to be sure the roads were repaired for check out!

The “Olympic size pool” was not filled at the time but it did not effect our stay at all, there was a smaller pool for those who wanted to cool off. (We’re more of the swim in the river/pond kind anyway)

The bathrooms were clean and showers had nice hot water if you wanted it. No coin operation here!

Had we had more time I would have ventured into the adjacent wildlife management areas as well.
