Even though the sites are close together, it’s quiet. There is a small beach at the lake where you can swim and kayak (for rent). People at the office are very nice, polite and accommodating. Good cell reception.
The campsite has a nice pond attached, it also has apartments with bathrooms as well as small cottages with out bathrooms. It is a full service RV campsite so that is always convenient. We went at the end of September to visit Acadia National Park and the foliage was Beautiful! It wasn't even at it's peak. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful trees.
Friendly, very clean and quiet. Beautiful sites with mostly hardwood trees. Laundry, showers and camp store. Sites are fairly large. Nice pond for swimming or boating. Close enough to drive to Mt Desert Island. Campground is set way back off the road so you get no road noise! Visit Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mtn, Fort Knox Observatory. Met an elderly couple who travel around the country to Thousand Trails Campgrounds who told us this is the best TT campground in the country. We love it, will be back.
Stayed here going to Acadia. Didn’t spend much time here. Did have a wheel bearing go out on the trailer, and some folks at the park were helpful in finding parts and offering tools.
Eeeeh. It was a good spot but I have stayed in better places.
We stayed here because of a lack of options. A lot of full timers with elaborate and trashy set ups. our neigbors were one if them and felt entitled to intrude on our space with cornole, 6 cars and felt the need to pee in the woods at 6pm. Wouldn’t recommend unless a lack of other options.
