Quiet lakeside camping

Loons loons everywhere. Lots of wildlife. Good facilities. Full hookups for boondockers. Dump station, bath house, laundry facilities, and fire pits throughout campsites. Narrow driving lanes for inexperienced campers. Permanent campers interspersed in complex. Woodside and lakeside sites.

Nice Lakeside Camping

Long Lake, Maine. Some lakeside sites. Lots of wooded sites with easy access to the lake. A few local permanent campers.

Awesome lake

This campground was pretty good. We got two sites right next to each other and they were combined which was neat. Bathrooms were clean, showers were questionable. The store only accepts cash and there were a bunch of teenagers working that clearly didn't want to be there.

One of the times we were swimming, it was just about sundown and we were the last ones there. Someone screamed at us from the beach to get out.

Overall it was quiet, but a lot of the surrounding seasonals didn't turn off they're canopy lights or party lights all night making it very bright.

The real selling point is long lake. It's beautiful, clean and incredibly fun to be on.

Beautiful waterfront campsite.

We had a beautiful waterfront campsite (Site 113). The lake is gorgeous. Rocks make direct access to the water from the site difficult, but there is a beach for water access not too far away. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The only cons: The sites are a little small and do not have any trees between them to shield you from those next to you. It appears that a majority of the tenants who were there during our visit were long term tenants so it has a bit of a different feel than some of the other campgrounds we’ve visited. Also, the road is tight so be prepared to drive close to trees. :) You’re within 30 minutes to White Mountain National Forest, which is gorgeous!

Family fun on a terrific lake

We have been spending a week every summer at Lakesidepines for the past 10 or 15 years with friends whose family have been going for decades. Even when the campground is full, it never really feels crowded. There are two great beaches on Long Lake, the staff and fellow campers are always friendly! We look forward to this trip every year.
