We took our daughter and her family camping here because it was within 45 minutes of our home and the grandkids are youngish. The kids loved the beach and the chickens. Our two sites were on the hill down to the beach area. We weren’t too impressed by the person who checked us in. She didn’t seem too happy to see us and motored off quickly in her golf cart right afterwards. They did a lot of fast golf cart roaming.

Our sites were fine and sufficiently large to hold both tent and screen room (mosquitos and flies kept mostly at bay). Each site included a picnic table and a stone fireplace (versus a firepit with stones on all sides. There is a little store with food, etc.

They have canoes and kayaks for rent. The lake is very nice. They told me we could bring our own kayaks next time. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early because my son-in-law became very ill the first night and had to go to the hospital.
