Very crowded

My husband and I wanted to try out a camping spot semi- close to our house for our first trip with our dog (in case he didn’t enjoy the tent lifestyle). We reserved a spot at Bunganut for three nights over Memorial Day weekend. We knew there would be a pretty full house, but this was insanity.  The camping sites are very close together, which made it feel incredibly crowded. Kids were screaming and running around everywhere, including back and forth like squirrels across the road within the campground.  Check in was easy, we did have to show proof of our dog’s rabies vaccination. We received a paper map with directions to our spot. Once we found our site, we saw that it was on a plateau of sorts, with a steep driveway up to the tent pad. As we started to awkwardly back up the driveway, we were immediately stopped by a woman in a golf cart who demanded to see our parking hang tags for our cars. She wasn’t very pleasant about it either, even when we said this was our first time to the campground and didn’t know all the protocols yet.  Long story short (ish), we ended up eating the reservation fee and going home. We knew we weren’t going to enjoy ourselves, since the campground was so very crowded and loud. Not peaceful at all.
