Stayed at Hillman Ferry for 5 days in their primitive site area. I like that Hillmans has a lot of sites that are first come first serve. We arrived on a Wednesday and asked the EXTREMELY friendly front gate worker for a site on the water that was as quiet and private as possible. My group ended up getting two sites right next to each other and they were absolutely perfect.

Situated on an alcove of kentuckg lake the waters were warm and mostly calm aside from Saturday when boat traffic increased, but it was still swimable. Great spot for launching our kayaks and paddle board and exploring the lake.

brand new bathrooms and showers available a short walk up the hill. Well stocked camp store with more friendly employees.
