This is one of hte better state park campgrounds in northern IL, in my opinion. The sites are a bit more private and secluded than others. Like all state parks right now (2016) they could use some attention and maintenance, but it's not bad given the current situation in our state. The state park itself is nice, with pretty trails. There are several other state parks in the nearby area, which makes for a fun weekend of exploration.
