Hosts were friendly, but didn’t brief us on information such as where is the trash bin, what is the WiFi password. Restroom was old but relatively clean. There’s only one valve in the showers so all you get is lukewarm water. Not good on a cool or cold day. Some of the long term people have too many dogs, one had 6 little yippers, kind of annoying. And I’m not against dogs

Stopped here for the night driving through the area. Nice campground, clean, safe, and right off the interstate.

Stopped to check out campground for future needs. Had some seasonal campers. Good transit camp if on I57. Close to lots of Shawnee Forest hiking locations.

Heads up, CASH ONLY. Sweet people. Very accommodating. Great place for a night.

I am a first time vanlifer and I wandered into IL without checking the weather.... 😟😟 it snowed and I was unprepared. The Campground is run by some very friendly and kindhearted people they were happy to assist me and help me throughout my stay. The stay was inexpensive and i was able to refresh myself to continue my travels!!

This is a very clean, quiet, shady campground. It is off interstate 57 if you are passing through or a great place to park and see the sites of Shawnee National Forest. The people of Goreville are nice and friendly and Ron, who oversees the campground is a great guy!

Small little campground off the highway. Inexpensive, quiet. Great spot if your in a need of electricity and a hot shower
