Beautiful and Historically Significantl

We were about I hour early and the really nice person at the gate welcomed us and directed us to the Day Use area to wait. Wow! We were blown away. It was a large, lush, green, tree shaded area by the Snake River. There is also a new, really nice, Visitors Center with a film and displays about the significance of Three Island Crossing to the pioneers on the Oregon Trail.

We stayed in the lower loop. It was as beautiful as the day use area. In the center of the loop is a very large common area with 2 1arge picnic pavilions. The large restroom was dated, but clean. The showers were closed for lack of staff to clean. The upper and lower loop have their own 2 way, dual dump stations. AT&T service was good.

Did I mention, there is a trail to the winery next door? Really good wine, full bar and restaurant. Tlhere is also a golf course at the winery. We will definitely be back. We definitely recommend.
