Within Nezperce National Forest, Limber Luke Campground and Trailhead provides a Forest Service-managed camping option for those exploring Idaho's backcountry. The facility operates under a no-pets policy, which distinguishes it from many other forest campgrounds in the region.
Located north of Elk City, the campground serves as a trailhead access point for hikers and backpackers heading into the surrounding wilderness areas. Campers seeking additional forest camping can explore campgrounds around Nezperce National Forest throughout this expansive public land system.
Description
This trailhead serves Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail (#505). Located in open timber, with a toilet, stock loading ramp, fire ring and parking space for five camper vehicles, it is very popular with big game hunters.
