Lovely view of the Sawtooths
Nice view of the lake. Quiet time of year to visit.

What a beautiful campground with the views of the lake and mountains. Our site was perfect for our 23’ travel trailer and well maintained. While we did not have cell service at the campground (Verizon), the short drive to Stanley provided that when needed. There is constant traffic from site seekers and continual dusting because of it. Our only complaint was campers not following the leash rules for their dogs or stopping them from being aggressive towards us on the trails.
This is a very popular campground for a reason. Incredible views from about half of the sites. Some of them are reservable and some walk up. Check out the videos for a realistic view of the sites. Unfortunately, fires have made it very hazy. Even so....the views are to die for.
Intermittent at&t at best. But I'd just accept there most likely won't be any and enjoy the views, the water activities and hiking.
Stanley has plenty of activities if you need. Free live music, supper club is amazing, pizza place...oh yeah! Kasino club is great local hangout. Sawtooth Luce is suppose to have the best burgers, but as a vegan, I passed. Most places in town did have vegan options though.
Be advised, if you have a watercraft, you will need a permit (available online). That goes for paddleboard, kayaks, etc. They are only $7 per craft. Also, you MUST have a life jacket and whistle on board. They check
This campground has lots that are way too close together. It seems ridiculous to be so cramped together when your out in the middle of nowhere. The area is stunningly beautiful.
I loved my site and my neighbors asked to grab it as soon as I left. Loop 1-6 has best views of first come first served. I arrived about 11:30am Friday and had a couple of choices left. Stayed 3 nights. It was full every night by high churn so if you arrive before noon you might score a spot.
One of our luckiest experiences on scoring a walk up site. We just planned to take a peek at the campground and then move along as we never though we would get a spot in a popular reservation campground on a weekend in July! But as we were pulling up to the entrance of the campground the host was at the sign flipping it from Full to Vacancy.... say what??? A last minute cancellation, sad for someone, but good luck for us..... we scored a prime lakefront site! Our site was site#5 and I do not think it could have been much better. Solar charging was great in these lightly forested sites. Minimal bugs, which is a positive in my book. Water access to the shoreline was a little steep, but worth it for the private lakeside spot. No cell service! There was construction going on, and by 2019-2020 there will be several more sites at this campground, could make the shoreline and lake a little too busy in years to come? Glad we experienced it when we did!
Recent renovations and strong maintenance make this a great stop. Easy access to the northern Sawtooths. Great lake views and easy, well maintained road access.
What a beautiful setting on Stanley Lake. Nice sites. A few minutes into the town of Stanley. Good fishing.
Stanley Lake is a beautiful and amazing place..Campsite are close to lake.our site was listed as double but it was qyute bug enough fir 2 trailers sude by side..However we made it work by angling them.Great scenery!
Nice campground but they are allowing tree harvesting in the campground. We were there for 5 days and left early because all we heard all day were commercial tree harvesting with load chainsaws and tree moving equipment. Pretty much ruined the atmosphere of the campground
Excellent as always.
If you’re looking to stay away from the crowds of Redfish Lake, grab a spot at Inlet campground! While this isn’t always the easiest—no reservations, first come, first serve—it always ends up being my favorite place to camp in the Stanley area. Sites right on the water with incredible views over the glassy lake, looking up at McGown peak.
This is by far one of my favorite places to camp. Smaller than the Redfish Lake and a lot less traffic. Great small lake for fishing and lake kayaking. LOTS of hiking in the Sawtooth Mtn area. Town of Stanley is near but not too close. Love the beauty of the area.
Loved this campspot. It's definitely possible to get some privacy with these sites, plus the nearby hikes are fantastic! Beautiful scenery, plus many other activities to do on the water. Definitely a good spot.
The campground is pretty, lots of trees. The sites were fairly spaced out, neighbors weren't too close. The vault toilets were pretty clean. The host was really nice and really looked after the place. The lake is fantastic! So clear and blue! The scenery is amazing.. Perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. We also hiked to bridal vail falls, 8 miles round trip from the Stanley Lake trailhead.
Campground is clean, group space is nice and spacious and has access to a great boat dock, hiking trails and some local secrets you will have to find yourself ;)
