On one of the most beloved and popular lakes in the Sawtooth. Redfish Lake. Gorgeous views. Any kind of water sports you crave. Backpacking destination trails. Short or long hiking. Biking. The lodge next door offers live music on the lawn. A restaurant with really good food, full bar, ice cream stand, camp store, sandy beach, boat/kayak/SUP rentals. Boat shuttle. All this and close to Stanley to boot. It reminds me of the lake retreat in Dirty Dancing. There are pay showers $3, laundry and dump station on the main road. Very limited, ok just say no AT&T cell, but you can get wifi at the lodge. The only thing that could make this more perfect would be flush toilets and electricity (so generators wouldn't spoil the peaceful serenity. See drive thru video.

Sites are clean in lodge pine forest

This place is stunning! What makes this place so great is a combination of three things: 1. Accessibility (completely paved roads all the way to the campground) 2. Quality of campground facilities (extremely nice picnic tables, fire pits, pit toilets and tent pads adjacent to a fully paved parking pad) 3. Unmatched beauty (The lake shore is less than 100 yards from each campsite, boasting a majestic snowcapped mountain backdrop. Some of the clearest water I have ever seen.) If you’re looking to stay here, expect to make reservations approximately 6 months in advance.

This is my personal favorite campground to hike from on redfish lake. There is a 4 mile trail that will take you to the other side of the lake. Be bear aware while hiking here! We’ve seen black bear both times! The views are amazing and the access is easy.

Absolutely perfect camping area. Clean (vaulted) bathrooms and good-sized spots with short trails to the stunning Redfish Lake. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my Idaho journey!
