This is a great little campground just north east of Idaho City by 20 minutes or so. Steep winding drive the last 10 miles. This campground is near the summit and about 5,000 ft so it can get cool at night even in the summer. From here great access to many Forest roads, rivers, and hiking and ATV riding.
