This was our first time camping at Devil Creek and we had picked right by the water and there was NO shade or any trees. It was nice camp spot, steps away from fishing. The port a potty was clean and well maintained and even though we were by the freeway, after awhile you tune out the noise. The night by the fire was beautiful, so with all that said the main reason for us to pack up on a day that we already paid for was all due to the camp host! She had came over and the first thing that came out of her mouth was “ I got people coming into this spot” NOT even a “Hello” I then reminded her that we had paid for 2-days. She then questioned me if I was sure and demanded I show her a recipe that SHE just gave use not even 24hrs ago! After I showed her the receipt, she still looked into her tablet and then said “Oh, they will be here tomorrow “. As I walked away she mumbled “I’ve had a bad morning” and I’m thinking what does that have anything to do with how rude you were towards me! Completely rude! After she left I was still just in shock how RUDE she was! Interesting enough they had told us that they DO NOT take reservations by the water, there are no spaces marked! So, for her to say she has a reservation for a spot that didn’t take reservations was a bit shady! Either way she ruined the rest of our trip so we decided to pack up and leave! If she reads this a little advice for you. Try and just be nicer to your paying customers word does spread around!
