Sweetwater Creek and Civil War Ruins

This was a great hike especially for kids. It was easy all the way to the ruins as the hike followed the shoals.

We passed the ruins and continued on down to the shoals. The trail markers were difficult to find. If your headed back on the rocks on the shoals you can follow the crowd.

On the other end of the hike is a great trail the follows alongside the river bank. This was nice because the ground was more of a soft sand. While the trail continued on we stopped at the steel covered bridge and had lunch on the river banks.
