This is a nice park. It is clean and well maintained. The sites are slightly larger than the usual and the lake is gorgeous. It was great to sit by the lake and watch the water fowl and many fishers.

Great place to kayak and ride your bike.

You really can't wade into the lake from your site because of water grass and murky water, but there is a swimming beach.

The sites are close to your neighbor with few trees. Not much coverage, nor shielding between you and your neighbor. We could have used a bit more of that. The sites have large "yard" areas between the site and the water. This is a great place to play, picnic or sit in chairs and watch the lake.

It was very quiet while we were there and at 2/3 capacity. The bathrooms and shower were heated (it was in 40's) and clean.

George Bagby State Park and Marina can be seen across the lake. Don't bother going there, nothing to see.

There are two restaurants in the area. One in the state parks lodge and Marcos Bar and Grill about a mile outside the gate. (Reviews are good) but we didn't eat at either. We went to Eufaula for the day, once and ate a fantastic meal at Thelma's Restaurant.

Verizon LTE was 4/5 bars and no issues streaming.
