Great place
Topsail is more like a rv resort. It is a state park & surprisingly it has sewer hookups. We come down here at least once a year. And have never had any complaints. There is no bad camping spot.

There is a potable water faucet and a two plug 30 amp electrical outlet at each site.
I was here for the snow fall. The electric hook up was a saving grace. Now this is in the flight path of Eglin AFB. The staff is excellent both friendly and helpful.
Checked in Friday 01/17 and extended my stay from 2 nights to 7 nights. I’m enjoying the solitude. I’m at a tent site, no WIFI. T Mobile is 4 bars.
Great spot! Cool shorter hiking trails to take you to lakes or the gulf, or as we call it Lake Florida now. For hammock campers the tent camping spots are okay for hammock camping. I made due but I was in spot 21 and there are no trees accessible enough to hang a hammock up how you would want, BUT they had a couple 4x4s in the ground so I used one of those and a tree, everything went up properly. It was windy, rainy and around 30° and I was extremely comfortable.
Fire pits are great, it looks like all spots have a picnic table.
All in all great spot. I’ll be back soon!
Keep in mind, this is a Preserve. Good trails, coastal dunes with lakes, fishing, paddling, beach, cabins, and tent camping including Glamping!
Overall the campground is great. The only downside is that you cannot drive to the beach. You have to walk or bike the 2-mile round trip or wait on a handful of tram rides. The main sites are a little close, so there isn't as much isolation. The pool was nice, but was crowded frequently.
This was our first visit to Topsail. We rented bicycles and enjoyed the paved paths and private beach over the dunes. Unfortunately the water was closed due to rip tides but we enjoyed lounging in the sun. I do wish the store on site had a larger selection and took Apple pay. All in all a wonderful experience.
My wife and I are frequent campers in NW Florida and Alabama. Topsail is certainly one of our favorites. Excellent access to the beach, hiking, biking (many miles), lakes, great campground. One of the best!
We have stayed here several times. We love it! Little pool, dog park, beach close by, tons of biking, deer, turkeys, birds galore. Highly recommend the Donut Hole for breakfast, brunch or lunch! So good! Service was awesome!
One of, if not my favorite! Private spots. Beach, pool, and beer. Monday nights they had live music. Friendliest staff of the 50 places ive stayed this year. Love the beach trolley dude. Long walk to the beach, take an extra flashlight if u go after dark- natural beach, with critters!!
Easy booking, and confirmation process. Clear communication, and informational materials. Friendly camp staff, convenient and plentiful amenities. Free beach tram all day to limit vehicular traffic, hiking / biking trails around the rare dune freshwater lakes, spectacular nature reserve. 10/10
Will definitely return with friends and family!

We had to do a little of what those at this park call the “top sail tango” because the spots are in such high demand.. but we were able to snag t20 for 1 day on a Saturday and it became available on Sunday as well. Now be aware, we had t14 already booked for Sunday and it was a $10. Charge to simply stay in t20..seems odd but whatever… it saved us from having to move our gear to a new site and that was worth $10 I suppose. Other than that it’s been great again. The tram to the beach runs like clock work. The pool let’s you enjoy some water and relax without getting sand in the darn areas it always seems to find itself in haha. Great coffee and sandwich shop on site, bike rentals, camp store and more! As seen in the video one of our cars is an electric bmw i3.. since wr can’t park at our tent sites here(one downfall) they found a spot I could park my car to charge daily/nightly. In my opinion it’s one of the best in the area and the staff is nice. The volunteers did have a bit of adjustment to my daughters service dog and the rights she has with that dog but we got that handled and it’s all good.! Give ‘em a try.. you might have as much fun as us
Amazing state park with lots of amenities including a swimming pool!! Beautiful beach and tram that runs to the lake and beach all day. A camping store, coffee shop, plenty of paved walking trails and everyone was helpful!
This is the cleanest and nicest campground I have ever been to. The gravel at your tent site is raked like a Zen garden. The bathrooms are pristine, and cleaned daily. There is a coffee shop on site. A tram to take you to the beach. They provide water and electricity to each tent site, which is framed by vegetation and private. The beach is private. There are several long trails and lakes. You can see the stars, and hear the waves from the campground while you sleep. It’s really wonderful.
This state park along with camping amenities is top notch. We had a brief but very enjoyable stay in December of 2022.
The sites in the area we stayed in are somewhat tight, but we saw many sights that were spaced out and had foliage in between creating some privacy… the beaches are pristine!
I would highly recommend this beautiful park to any and all! We really enjoyed our stay and will be making attempts to return in the future!
I have been volunteering here and the sites are beautiful. There is a tram that takes you to the beach and there are over 16 miles of hiking and biking trails. Restrooms are clean and climate controlled. All sites are full hookup with cable. The camp store rents bikes, kayaks, etc. and has a wonderful coffee shop. There is live music every Monday outside of the coffee shop.
One star for the beach and one star for the nature. One bathhouse was torn down so we had to walk in the dark for about 1/2 mile to get to the showers. They have restrooms by the pool which were near but they close them at 6pm. So you walk 1/2 mile in the dark to get to a bathroom at night, it’s not convenient if you are not one of these huge RVs. Beach is far away to walk.
We have stayed at dozens of state parks. This one has moved up to number one. Great sites, most with full hookup. Cable tv provided. Five bars of cell service. The beach here is awesome, there is a tram to take you down. We will most definitely be back here!
The tent campsites are clean, have water and electricity. The restrooms/showers are very clean and kept up also handicapped accessible. There is a tram that brings you to and from the beach. There is a swimming pool and games to keep you busy. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again! Basically a private beach for RV parkers. A tram takes you there for free every 30 minutes. Super scenic route on way to beach. Sites are level and quiet. Bathhouses clean. No better place to stay in this area.
These are the nicest beaches on the Emerald Coast! The campsites are nicest on the very back loop but you need to reserve at 11 months out! Summer months are very hot and humid- we enjoy October and Early spring the most. The trolley will take you to the beach, runs every 30 minutes or you can bike or walk. The bath houses are very clean and air conditioned if you visit in hot months. The walking trails are great or if you prefer biking you can ride for miles and miles along the coast. There are some in campground but I suggest leaving campground for long rides. You have access to close by grocery stores- Walmart- Publix. We go every year and love this park. It’s got everything if you love the beach!
This campground is wonderful. The bath house's are super clean, they have nice laundry mat, a trolley runs every hour to take you down to the beach. The staff was very friendly and most of the park is dog friendly.
Enjoy visiting this State Park during the winter months. Weather is usually delightful with clear skies, beach access, and close to all Destin has to offer. An older park that has fairly good size sites, but with lots of trees and ground vegetation between each to add privacy. Enjoy the bike trails and access to 30A.
Absolutely beautiful campground. The sites are full hookup with cable. Wooded sites create privacy. So many hiking and biking trails on property you will be busy for days. 30A is right out front which has a great bike path to take you to many restaurants and seaside towns. The park rangers are knowledgeable and super helpful. There is a tram to take you to the most beautiful undeveloped beach in Florida. 3.5 miles of sand and sea, no condos, buildings or distractions.
There are hundreds of campsites here, but we found the nights to be exceptionally quiet. Beautiful beach, camp store, pool, hiking trails, and other amenities like this a very nice campground. There is no beach access for the dogs.
Plenty of shade, privacy, and very clean. People who work here are nice and friendly.
We stayed 2 nights. The 30A road caused lots of road noise during day. One bathroom closed and husband found second one crowded and messy one morning and closed for cleaning 2nd morning at 8:30 in morning. The tram to beach is a nice touch as long walk when weather is warm carrying beach gear.
We stayed with two small tents in T6, which had some shade but was also adjacent to an open field area, which would be great for kiddos who want room to spread out and play games. There was also an easier area to park in and enter the site from the back. Perfect hammock trees at this site. The park was also lovely. Highly recommend bringing your own bikes to get to both the beach and to explore the lake areas with a bit more biking. We didn’t get to hike as it was already pretty late in the year (quite hot). Hit the beach at sunset for lovely views and grazing deers. Would definitely tent camp here again!
