Simply Beautiful
A small beautiful park. Boat ramp, dump station and showers. Docks by many sites. Check size of site. Some can be tight. Water and electric.

We enjoyed our time here. Nice, small campground at edge of lake. Beautiful views. Everyone friendly. Great hiking with huge trail network at Fort Braden on adjacent property but the bummer is that there was way to connect to them from campground due to swamp and geography. As a result, had to drive about 3 miles to trailheads to walk my pups.
All in all, we thought it was a pretty nice campground! We stayed in a tent at site 16 which was on the edge facing Lake Talquin and had electrical hookups, a water faucet, and picnic table. There was even a light pole that could be turned off at night if desired. The campground also provided a potable water station, bathrooms, shower (a bit dated but clean), and dumpsters. There are also multiple docks, 2 with benches, and a few to tie boats or kayaks off at. All the camp sites seemed to have gravel pads…The only downfall to our particular campsite was that it butted right up to the landing parking lot and a dock which has fairly heavy traffic. But it was also nice to see an FWC officer make their rounds one of the nights we stayed. Another downside was that the dumpster close by was emptied by a garbage truck at 5am Tuesday morning which wasn’t the best alarm clock. What was a nice alarm clock was the camp rooster that had been there a few years and drops by to say hello each day. We scoped out other sites for when we return!
I stayed two nights June 26-27 2019. The campground is very nice, small and quiet. The staff came around to check on us but was not a bother. The bathrooms are clean, running hot and cold water and paper. The bugs were bad even though we used spray and candles. It is a great quiet campground. Better in the cooler months.
We stayed 2/5/24-2/9/24. The camp host were very nice and accommodating. The campground itself is very clean and quiet. Bathroom and showers are some of the cleanest I’ve ever been in at a campground. If you looking for a peaceful get away on the lake this is your place!
We stayed here recently while visiting the US from the UK. When we arrived the host was really welcoming. I can’t remember the site number we originally booked but he offered alternatives that were also available if we wanted to change it. It’s such a lovely setting, we sat on the fishing dock until the mozzies spotted us and watched a gator chilling out on the lake. The sites are well looked after and the showers were decent. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area.
Nice camp ground, bathrooms are clean enough, good price and there are chickens!!
Nice sites, bathroom decently clean, hot showers and there are chickens roaming!
This is a small quant campsite, all sites have a view of the lake. Most of the sites are right by the lake. It’s well kept, gravel sites with bench and fire rings. There one bathhouse with one shower. No washer/dryers. There’s a small pier out to the lake with a gorgeous view. The campground has a resident hen and rooster that roams around, they were quiet and never once heard them crowing. The kids loved watching them peck at the ground. I would definitely come back, it’s a great place with nice sites.
This is a nice campground to explore Tallahassee and the surrounding area from. Many people also bring their boats with them and explore Lake Talquin. The park is small and there isn't a lot to do in the park itself, but it's a nice place to park your rig and sleep nights after days filled with exploring the surrounding areas. Sites are gravel and some take creative leveling of the rig. Sites 3,4,5 back up to a fence with a private residence on the other side, they are pretty noisy at times.
We enjoyed the clean quiet park. Is well maintained and nice roomy sites. Cons would be dump station location and accessibility.
Stumbled upon this campsite through the app and after reading the reviews figured I better check it out. You will not be disappointed! It’s tucked away surrounding by lake. Extremely quiet! Woke up early to see the sunrise and it was the icing on the cake :) even witnessed a gator swimming! The showers aren’t too bad. The only thing that is a downfall are the mosquitoes and gnats, but it is what it is when surrounded by the beauty of nature here.
We booked a night last minute while driving through the state. The campground was quaint & VERY well maintained grounds. The sites were nice & not washed out. Bathrooms were large & have covid guidelines in place. We stayed in waterfront site #7. The only reason I would drop a star (but it’s not their fault) is because there were SO many mosquitoes at night. Other than that it was beautiful, even on a rainy day.
Nearly every spot is lake view. The keepers and residents are all very polite. They have a well kept womens restroom and shower. And hook ups at every station.
The price and luxuries you have for the price is amazing. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our short stay! The campground was affordable, esp when you consider the lovely water views. Each spot is designated clearly, is level, and has its own lake vista. It’s a small place but perfect for a night or two for a peaceful retreat. They have both pull through and back in spots available and check in was a breeze. They even had our names on a reserved sign when we arrived. Oh, and there are a few docks to fish and explore upon! Would definitely return!
Did some car camping here in March and it was already hot and full of mosquitos. The sites are huge and far from each other. Big dock with heavy day (and evening and early morning) use from serious fisherman.
Only 1 other site was occupied.
Waterfront sites, pull-thru sites, clean bathrooms. Will definitely stay again.
