Destin west fort Walton side
Beautiful location pricey!!!
Beautiful location pricey!!!
We stayed for 2 days so I could visit my sister. It was super quiet and clean. Our space fit us perfectly. It was a pull in so we had to unhitch our tow to back out our class A tiffin but this wasn't a problem. Wifi isn't great but we have our own so no big deal.
The campground is well manicured, and beautiful. There are no pull thru sites, but the back in sites are easy enough to maneuver. The problems we had with the property were the steps to our RV folded down into the landscaping no matter how close we got to the edge of the site, and the highway. In order to get to the beach we had to cross a major thoroughfare. The traffic was horrible and there are no sidewalks that allow us to make it to a crosswalk. With three small children it was nerve wracking. We also felt the $181 per night was extravagant. I understand Destin is pricey, but this was in West Destin. The area is much different.
Pros: Beautiful, well maintained campground. Short walk to beach. Full 50 amp hookup. Overlooks bay. Easily accessible. Picnic table with umbrella. Lot covered by pavers.
Cons: No Wifi for week of stay. In the midst of switching providers. 5th wheel steps folded out into landscaping.
This was our first real trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. Absolutely beautiful. Each spot is landscaped and gorgeous. Great amenities and very clean. We’re already looking for dates for our next stay!
Fantastic sites, great amenities, and access to resort and beachfront included.
Some of the sites are real close to the busy highway, and there's an AFB nearby
Beautiful RV park that backs up to the bay and across the street from the beach. All paved sites, Very clean and well groomed full hook up sites. It's a little pricey but location is worth it. And the Icecream shop is next door!
With just over 50 sites this is not a huge campground. The staff is very friendly and we have had no problems at all. The spacing is ok, and there is shrubbery between each site making it feel more private.
This was a great little area close to the beach with several amenities. We stayed here two nights. I would say the most challenging part was getting across the highway - it tends to be pretty busy. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the bathrooms didn’t get cleaned while we were here and had trouble getting our laundry done - it was always busy. Other than that, it was well taken care of :)
This is a fairly small rv resort. It has 58 spots that are fully paved. The grounds are gorgeous. Across the very busy street is a nice hotel that we have access to the pool, beach, and all of their amenities. There is a pool on this side too, which is very clean and heated, but small. If I came back during peak season I’m not sure I’d have any room to get in. The park is on the bay, which is a pretty nice view of the emerald clear water. Laundry facility is nice, only has three units though.
Nice and clean, close to the beach with the hotel amenities included.
