We went to this site with no reservations in the middle of July. There were a handful of sites open and we took site #3. Even with neighbors the only sounds we heard were the river and an occasional passing car on the road above.

The bathrooms were clean (pit toilets) and there was water at the camp host site and firewood available for purchase. No showers.

The hiking trail next to the river is great too.
