This area is geared towards OHV enthusiasts. There are a number of designated campsites off Rampart Range Road and it feels like the road just keeps on going. The sites are spacious and pretty isolated from other campers but the main road is surprisingly busy and you are close to the OHV trail system. Forrest service campground with no amenities (water, sewer, etc) but there are pit toilets at some of the trailheads.

We stayed here for one night - it was the Thursday before Labor day and the area was busy with a lot of campers probably setting up for the weekend.
