4th of July

Pros-

Within walking distance of the lake (where you can rent canoes, SUPs, & kayaks), gorgeous mountain views, close to Leadville, vault toilets, dumpsters, potable water sources, no mosquitoes despite it being mosquito season, campground worker was extremely nice and allowed us to have more than the 2 tent limit

Cons-

Little to no tree coverage, can be a party spot (I was there on the 4th so that was expected), you're not "right on" the lake (4 min walk which isn't bad), vaulted toilets were DISGUSTING (I'm talking far worse than other campgrounds)

Overall, while I'm not in a rush to stay at this spot again, I would recommend it for campers who like toilets and dumpsters. I'd personally opt for a dispersed site nearby for the quiet and seclusion.
