This camp is located a mile away from Allenspark. Most sites are well protected from the sun and there are a lot of trees. Access to the back end of Rocky Mountain National Park is 10 minutes walking distance through County Road 84. There are very demanding trails In this part of the Park. If you want to get less difficult trails, the one next to the old gallery in Allenspark is great (Fox Creek or Rock Creek loops). There is free internet access by the old gallery. No cell reception available at the camp.
