Nice SP along the Colorado River, but near I-70
We have a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow and stayed in site C58 for 2 days in mid June. The temperatures were in the mid 100’s in the area and the CG only has 30 amp service, so we could only run one of our AC units during the daytime without popping the circuit breaker. The ambient heat probably contributed to the breaker popping. The sites are nice and fairly well spaced, typical of SP CGs. There is a daily entrance fee of$9/vehicle in addition to the CG fee, so factor that in. There is a nice trail along the river too. AT&T coverage was good, with 3-4 Bars of LTE service and speeds up to about 8 MB/s. Our site had a clear view of the Southern sky, so we were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There are about 30 wineries in the Grand Junction, Clinton& Palisade area. Two of the three we visited, TWP and Colorado Vintners Collective, had some very nice offerings.
