Cobbett Lake

Very quiet

This was a quiet spot that we enjoyed. There weren't any ATV's allowed so that really helped this spot stay quiet. Some of the other campgrounds do allow them and they buzz through the campground all night, not this one. There is a nice lake that you can fish on and the visitors center is just on the side of the lake. There were quite a few sites but we were tucked back a little. Cows frequented, I think we woke up to them just on the other side of the road in the campground. With the visitors center real close, there are flush toilets with in a near walking distance, otherwise there are pit toilets available as well. There are many trails that are around the area. There are also moose sometimes, although we haven't seen any. It can get chilly at night sitting at a higher altitude but with some proper attire, it is totally worth it. There was a picnic table and firering available.
