I have been going to CCSP my entire life being a native. For us it’s a good place for a beginning summer shake down. Expect very long lines to get in on the weekends. Very heavy boat traffic. You will want to get in the boat ramp line by 6:00 am. The camp sites are very well maintained, showers, bathrooms clean. This is urban camping. However within the park you will feel far from the city. I only gave it 4 stars because on the outskirts of the state park we have a lot of homeless camps popping up oblong Parker road and 225. I don’t think I would do any trail riding that leads out side of the park for that reason.
